We can all relate to this Psalm. Asaph (the author) is in anguish, he is suffering and wondering, “where is God?” I know I have cried out to the Lord, troubled, asking, “where are you?!?” Some people choose these moments to walk away from God, claiming that He was absent during their time of need.Continue reading “Psalm 77”

Psalm 46: 1-2
I am once again deviating from writing about Job because I’ve also been doing a bible study conducted by my church. Today’s reading was Psalm 46:1-2 and it’s too good not to share. Here’s what it says: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, evenContinue reading “Psalm 46: 1-2”
Job 42
It’s the end of the story- spoiler alert if you haven’t read it 😉 and God restores Job’s life and makes Job’s friends and the townspeople give stuff to Job but first Job had to repent AND pray for his friends. I can imagine that Job didn’t necessarily want to pray for his friends whoContinue reading “Job 42”
Job 12-14
Job 12 Job responds to his three friends and is like, “ok guys, we all know that this is from the hand of God because everything is from God! Even the birds and fish know that. But you guys are mocking me by telling me that it’s MY fault.” Job wanted friends who would comfortContinue reading “Job 12-14”
God Takes Time
This morning I read a couple chapters in Esther and I bowed my head to pray and I started having a pity-party for myself. I was feeling like I’ll never measure up to Esther or any other biblical person and God gave me a revelation. Things in the bible did not happen quickly. Every message,Continue reading “God Takes Time”
Nehemiah 6-9
I’m a little behind on posting anything so you’re getting a bundle today. Nehemiah 6:13 says, “For this reason he was hired, that I should be afraid and act that way and sin, so that they might have cause for an evil report, that they might reproach me.” Nehemiah was doing the Lord’s work (rebuildingContinue reading “Nehemiah 6-9”
Ezra 6
Ezra starts off with Cyrus, the king of Persia, letting the Jewish people go back home! Through the word of the Lord, he commanded them to rebuild the temple. And so, the people obeyed and started to build the temple. In Ezra 5, Tattenai, the governor of Shethar-Boznai (across the river from Judah) tries toContinue reading “Ezra 6”
God > Coronavirus
Dear fellow Christians, During this time let us not be afraid. This is an opportunity for God to shine, if we let Him. Let people see the peace that the Lord provides. Let them see Christians everywhere who are calm, not freaking out, continuing to go to church, and continuing to praise the Lord. LET’SContinue reading “God > Coronavirus”
2 Kings 21-23
Even though the bible tells us to raise our kids up right, they are still their own person with their own personalities. Parents can not always be to blame for their children’s behavior. Hezekiah, who was one of the best kings in Judah’s history because of his faith and loyalty to the Lord, ended upContinue reading “2 Kings 21-23”
